    Description

From my aviation collection I offer this original 1894 silver medal of the balloon flight in Dresden by Lieutenant Lembriere. A brilliant uncirculated medal by Diller signed at bottom. Listed by Kaiser as his # 23.1 it is 34mm looped for wearing as made. The obverse has his tethered balloon over Dresden among the clouds. The inscription on the reverse is translated to "In memory of the ascent of Lieutenant Lembriere at the National Exhibition in Dresden 1894." The reverse is just as bright as the obverse. My camera made the reverse seem darker, but it is just as bright as the obverse. Only a scratch on the reverse keeps it from gem uncirculated. Still a very scarce silver medal. See the scans. U.S. shipping is free. Paypal preferred.
I am always open to offers on any of my listings. Just ask. Worst thing is I say no.
