Condition:
Please zoom in on photos
carefully as they are part of the description
-all of my books are VERY OLD and have wear. I try to explain & show the worse, but I am human and
sometimes I do miss a thing or 2.
Externally-
-
Boards and textblock secure. Much discoloration to the covers. Gilt remains quite bright. Tips look pretty good-just a bit worn. Spine ends with heavy wear - top one was worse than the bottom so I took a picture of it.
Internally the hinges have been glued with a brown ribbon
, and you can tell from the outside of the book [joints just don't look "right"]
Internally-
The
pages have sporadic spotting - all very legible though
. Only 2 small rips that I saw. No folds that I saw. Name written on front paste down in pencil "Dr A ??".
hinges have been glued with a brown ribbon
,
Inner joints are just OK looking-not horribly ugly, but they don't look pristine either -ribbon was glued a little too tightly making the end-papers not open correctly. The other free endpaper has been taped at gutter.ย Wrinkles to the ffe papers.

for understanding ย --
and remember -
this book is very old and
may have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke]
- I have found that
dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference!
some of my books get sold right away so
please consider using this trick before deciding to return it!
My nose doesn't work like it use to
so the old book smell doesn't bother me.
As far as I can tell -this book smell fine
